LiLg's News

About 1 to two years ago, it was so much easier to get a sponsorship for games. Now, it seems to be very difficult. Or, that is at least what I've been experiencing. I've had my latest game up on FGL.com for about a month now with no luck of finding the right sponsor yet. The latest person to want to sponsor it said that they wanted to be able to upload to Newgrounds. There is no way I'd let a sponsor upload to any of the portals. Especially not Newgrounds.

Also, while I'm venting... I've applied for several jobs over the last few weeks and they all say "not enough work experience." I've worked for myself for the last 3 years. So, I'm not sure how that doesn't count. These companies don't know what they want. How am I suppose to get any "real work experience" if no one is hiring without it!? Excuse me while I go punch a wall.

There is still an hour left to donate to this project.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878730846/r eincarnation-the-root-of-all-evil

My Reincarnation project got funded at kickstarter.com. The goal was to raise $15k and so far we have gotten up to almost 19k. I'm really thrilled about reaching the goal, but my team and I have a lot of work ahead of us. We've been working all throughout the time the kickstarter was running and before that. However, it's time to really buckle down and start pushing out this baby fetus...

If you missed the deadline to help out on kickstarter, you can still donate by clicking the link on the KS site that directs you to our Paypal donation area.

That's all for now. I'm going to go celebrate by ordering all the swag I need to give away. Easy come, easy go...

This is our last week on kickstarter, and we still need $3,620 more to go. Please help out in any way possible at: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878730846/r eincarnation-the-root-of-all-evil

If the project doesn't get funded, no money exchanges hands.

Here is a list of things to help me:

My Kickstarter Projectto get Reincarnation into a full length game called The Root Of All Evil needs help. We are up to $8,471
PLEDGED OF $15,000 GOAL. I should have some more updates coming soon on this project.

I got a T-shirt design up at Storyville. Please go like if you have a facebook account.

Add me on Twitter

I'll also have a new game coming out next week. It'll be a point and click adventure game which will be more puzzled based. When you beat this game, you actually win something real and not just a medal. HOW COOL IS THAT!?!

Hey again,

Well. well. well... We have 22 days left to get funded for the Reincarnation full length game. We are almost at the 50% maker, and we are hoping that we'll reach our goal in time. It's going to be the same type of humor you've grown to love in the series, but it'll be heaps longer. Compiled of four chapter and hundreds of puzzles, The Root of All Evil will be something you want to own for any fan of Adventure games.

We will also be looking for help with the project. If you are interested, please contact me with your skill set.

It's my once a week chance to beg for funds for my full length Reincarnation game called Reincarnation: The Root of All Evil.
I've been working day and night on this project ever since I launched it over 30 days ago. It's just showing me how much work goes into these larger games. Especially when they are going to be in HD. You have to make sure every graphic looks good at HD as well as at small graphics since it's no longer in the vector format.

Anyways, if you want to help (and I suggest you do if you are a fan of the series), please pledge here.

For some reason I can't embed the demo video so here it is...

Also, this is another amazing kickstarter that I've backed and so should you!

2012 has kicked me in the teeth so many times already that I'll have to get dentures before June. I haven't made a single dime making games, and it was something that I was really enjoying the past couple of years. It seems that flash games aren't getting the same kind of sponsor funding that they use to be over the last two years, and i think that's mostly to the lack of Revenue coming in to these sponsors. It's a shame really. Nothing brings me more joy than to release a Flash to people on newgrounds and other places, but it's hard to survive when no money is coming into the project.

However, I released my new Reincarnation game today without a sponsor backing it. I felt 5 month into the year was long enough without releasing something. It was almost as though I was in a small depression without the aid of the joy I get from releasing something on Newgrounds.

I'm not saying that I'm giving up on the whole sponsorship of games, but I think it's time I start looking for real work to hold me over so I'm not burying myself deeper into a money pit.

Ok enough of being frustrated.... time for the fun stuff...

The reason i released Bloody Bayou today was to promote my Kickstarter.com campaign for a game I've been working on over the past year. I tired to start this campaign last year at this same time but didn't really have anything to show for it and felt it needed some hard work before showing it to the public again. It also motivated me to relaunch the project when double fine and leisure suit Larry hit goals of over $600,000 with games of the same genre. So, if you are feeling generous and would like to see this project in all of it's Evil glory, please fund it here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878730846/r eincarnation-the-root-of-all-evil
