I'm predicting that one of the trees in my backyard will fall on my house and kill me (1/2 chance of this happening.)

About 1/10 chance of drowning or getting blown away.
1/20 Chance of getting stuck in my attic and dying of a heat stroke.
1/30 chance of fighting off looters.
1/40 chance of dying by a pack of wild dogs.

What about the bet that the storms will eventually all kill us? I am a pessimistic optimist, so it's only natural that I feel this way.

How about 1/1 chance of not realizing that there are a great many parts of this country that do not get hurricanes and subsequently moving to one of those areas :P Damn logic...
