Looking for a writer for Pico Contest

Posted by LiLg - March 7th, 2009

*CLOSED* - Thanks everyone.

What's up, homies?

OK. So here is the skinny. I really want to enter into this years Pico Day Contest, but my brain is being racked by Carny 2 and GTG 2:2; therefore, I'm asking any Newgrounder who likes to write to team up with me to create a nifty entry for the contest.

What I'm looking for is a 2 to 3 min long script with only cartoon violence. I know Pico is all about Shoot 'em Up, but I'm not a very violent person. I'd like to get something with-in the next week so I can start animating this bad boy.

Oh yeah, we will be sharing credit for the project in the portal.

Update 01: If you are interested, please send in a synopsis of the script (1-2 sentences describing the plot) and not any actual scripts yet. If I like the idea, we will talk.
Update 02: Would rather stay away from a script with a lot of dialogue. Want something that expresses stuff through the film and not by to many words.
Update 03: It should be comical.
Update 04: No parodies, spoofs or anything else you want to call it.
Update 05: Main character will be Pico. Sorry for this restraint, but I already drew him up and know how I will be animating him.

Any other fun questions, hit me up on my AIM or PM me.

That is all, little ones.

I might be able to help. I've got a lot of spare time on my hands. :3

I'd be very interested in working with a talented artist such as yourself. Since you're probably going to overwhelmed with offers, I'll quickly link to some of my previous work and you can decide for yourself whether I'm up to scratch or not.

Note that although I have a strong preference for poems and I think that a Pico Poem could work well, I'd be interested in working with you even if you don't feel like using a poem narrative. I.e., I think that I can pull off a normal script without poems at all.

PM me if you're interested or want to give me feedback; I'd be happy to receive both.

Pci writing hmhm i may be in.

i could.
i can't animate no more but I'm still able to come up with plots.
maybe even contribute more after all.

you tell me if youre interested.

no idea yet.

I'd be honored to team up with you if you can come up with a cool enough plot.

Sent you a PM.

Damm, i would help u but im not very good at making movies up lol

Good luck! Talk to Glaiel, he's trying to get something neat together for Pico Day... might not be related to your project, but it won't require too much work and might be right up your alley.

Thanks, man. I'll shoot him a PM.

I have actually written a great storyline for the Pico Day contes, it is actually about a half an hour movie. Unluckly, I'll have to keep it for myself, I have worked A LOT on it and on the voice acting files...

check your mail man

Did you really just delete my comment? You bastard.. well i sent you a Pm.

I'll be honored to work with you for Pico's Day contest.

My brain's already coming up with a plot.

unstead of one main plot how about short 10 seconds skits of pico. just a thought

so the bookworm thinks all of the school should play a prank on pico. silent treatment and such. then, he gets so mad at them all, he kicks everyone's ass, in a comical fashion of course...you know, clubs and lab equipment and rulers and pencils and such. just then, that girl (i forget her name the one with the black hair) comes in and tells pico the joke. he apologizes in a funny manner. end of animation.
